Måneskin are an Italian rock band originally from Rome and composed of Damiano David (vocals), Victoria De Angelis (bass), Thomas Raggi (guitar) and Ethan Torchio (drums).
Their name, which means “moonlight”, comes from Danish, the native language of Victoria’s mother.

The climb to success begins in 2017 with the participation in the eleventh edition of the well-known talent show X Factor . They don’t win, they get second place, but that’s enough for moral triumph and a boom in popularity.

In December 2017 they publish the EP Chosen , which collects the fruits of the X Factor path and launches them on the record market. In October 2018 it was the turn of their debut album, The dance of life .

In March 2021 the group participates in the Sanremo Festival by presenting the song ” SHUT UP AND GOOD “, with which they win the festival. A few weeks later, their second album, Teatro D’ira – Vol.I, comes out . In May of the same year, by virtue of the victory in Sanremo, the group represents Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest: Rotterdam 2021 with the song “SHUT UP AND GOOD”, winning the competition 31 years after the last Italian success.
